Title: Hawk Bust

Artist Note: "Green Hawk is my very first Stone carving. Carved from California Jade & Serpentine obtained myself from climbing down a cliff to a remote beach lagoon. It is simply carved with a pocket knife and salvaged files. In the past, I have done sculptures in other media (Concrete, clay, bronze, etc.) However, it was Tony Ayala (a traditional Chumash Stone carver) who inspired me to return to my Arts. This stone is his as in keeping with tradition. I hope he comes back this way.."
